The Peace Poles Community Art Project — a series of poles designed by community members and adorned with original art and messages of peace — is on display in Lenexa's Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park during the summer and fall of 2021. The purpose of the exhibit is to inspire peace, hope, creativity, and community involvement.

The Peace Poles Community Art Project is organized as a partnership between the Lenexa Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Western Johnson County, the Lenexa Arts Council and the City of Lenexa.

Judging & Awards

A judging panel that includes art professionals will judge the entries in May and the awards will be announced at a special ceremony at the Lion’s Shelter in Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 3:30 p.m.

Check back after May 23 for a list of the award winners.

Auction

Following the exhibit, the peace poles will be sold via auction. Proceeds will go to Project 1020.
