From lifeguards and pool managers to head camp counselors, we have various positions to fill for the 2022 summer season. Apply now and have your summer job lined up. City residency not required.

Lifeguards

Lifeguards are responsible for the overall daily operation of the City’s swimming pools including the supervision of pool patrons, maintaining training standards, daily pool maintenance and operational activities, and record keeping.

Starting pay rate: $10 per hour
Minimum age to apply: 15 years old

Camp Counselors

Camp Counselors are responsible for helping develop, implement, and facilitate our summer camp program. The Camp Counselor will help initiate, lead and oversee various daily activities while actively engaged with children. The Camp Counselor will have the ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels. The Camp Counselor will also have the desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.

Starting pay rate: $8.50 to $10.75 per hour, depending on qualifications and/or directly related experience
Minimum age to apply: 16 years old

Head Camp Counselors

The Head Camp Counselor is responsible for helping in developing, implementing, and facilitating Recreation Division’s summer camp program within a specific group. The Head Camp Counselor will help initiate, lead and oversee various daily activities. The Head Camp Counselor will have the ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels, while maintaining a lead role within camp. The Head Camp Counselor will also have the desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.

Starting pay rate: $10 to $12.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and/or directly related experience
Minimum age to apply: 18 years old
