A park special event is an organized activity that needs more space than the rented location can provide. Examples include but are not limited to: walk-a-thons, events with tents, carnival games, two or more inflatables, two or more food trucks or live music.
Submit a Park Special Event Permit application, along with a map of the event layout. Please adhere to the prohibited items list and parking lot capacity when planning.
Applications are accepted starting the first business day in January for the current year. The application review process takes up to five business days. If approved, you must pay to rent the appropriate spaces and pay the $100 permit fee. A certificate of insurance listing the City of Lenexa as an additional insured is due 30 days before.
