Birthday parties
Celebrate a birthday at one of our outdoor pools with reserved table space and options for food and beverage service. We offer two packages to fit your needs. All reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance of your requested party. Birthday reservations open May 10.
Ad Astra Pool and Flat Rock Creek Pool party times
- May 25–Aug. 4, 2024: Daily at noon, 1:30, 3, 4:30 or 6 p.m.
Sar-Ko-Par Aquatic Center party times
- May 25–Aug. 11, 2024:
- Monday–Friday at 4 or 5 p.m.
- Saturday or Sunday at noon, 1:30, 3, 4:30 or 6 p.m.
- Aug. 16–Sept. 1, 2024: Saturday or Sunday at noon, 1:30, 3, 4:30 or 6 p.m.

Policies
- Outdoor Pool Birthday Party Agreement and Waiver must be signed and full payment received at the time of reservation.
- Cancellations made 15 days or more out will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14 days or less from event date will receive a 50% refund.
- Changes to dates must be requested in advance at least 48 business hours.
Private rentals
Need a place to host a party or special event? Make a splash by renting one of our outdoor pools after hours.
Rental hours
You can rent a pool facility for up to two hours during the summer season during these times:
- Flat Rock Creek Pool: Daily from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. until Aug. 4, 2024.
- Ad Astra Pool: Daily from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. until Aug. 4, 2024.
- Sar-Ko-Par Aquatic Center:
- Daily from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m. until Aug. 11.
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m. until Sept. 1, 2024.

Rental policies
- All City of Lenexa, Kansas ordinances and the pool safety rules must be observed at all times.
- Pool rentals will take place after the regular operating hours of the swimming pool.
- The person responsible will be liable for any and all damages that occur to the facility during the rental. All personal and group property must be removed at the end of the rental.
- Alcoholic beverages and cereal malt beverages are not permitted at any time.
- Pool rentals cannot run past 10:15 p.m., prevailing time.
- Pool rentals will follow the Parks and Recreation inclement weather policy.
- Cancellations made 15 days or more out will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14 days or less from event date will receive a 50% refund.
- The rental agreement is not transferable to any other person or group.
