Eager to enjoy the vibrant flavors of summer? Us too. As the sun grows warmer and the days get longer, you'll find a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables arriving at the Lenexa Farmers Market. Fill your shopping bag and elevate your culinary creations with their irresistible tastes and aromas.

Here's when to expect these popular summer gems:

  • June – Broccoli, sugar snap peas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, more cucumbers
  • Mid-June – zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower
  • Late June – sweet corn, summer squash, melons, okra, peppers and blackberries
  • Early July – more bell peppers, eggplant

We’re sorry to report that there will be no Kansas peaches this season. Due to a harsh frost in January, most Kansas farmers are taking a loss on peaches this year. But JET Produce and Meats will offer peaches later this summer from family-operated Livesay Orchards in Porter, Oklahoma.
