Ballots have been mailed to registered voters in Lenexa, who will decide whether to renew the City’s 3/8-Cent Sales Tax. Mail or drop off your completed ballot by noon on April 1.
Lenexa Parks & Recreation staff take many things into consideration when deciding whether to close fields and facilities or cancel programs and events. Factors include weather radar, current weather conditions and field conditions.
We use Statusfy (formerly Rainout Line) as a notification system. It allows you to receive closure, cancellation and other notifications instantly through whichever method you choose.
Free mobile app: Download the Statusfy app for free from your phone's app store. Once downloaded, search for "Lenexa" and favorite these options: Lenexa Old Town Activity Center, Lenexa Outdoor Pools, Lenexa Parks & Rec and Lenexa Rec Center. Alternatively, you can click on the smartphone icon to the right of any status shown below. That will display a QR code you can scan with your phone's camera to download the app.
Email/text: Go to Statusfy.com and search for "Lenexa." Find the events/facilities you would like to receive notifications for and select the "bell" icon. The first time you enable a notification, it will prompt you for your notification method of choice and you can select email or text. Enter your address/number and it will send you a one-time code to validate your address/number. Hit "Save" when done, and now you can toggle any notification on/off via its "bell."
