Lenexa Art Fair logo The Lenexa Art Fair is the perfect outing to celebrate all things artisan. This one-day, outdoor, juried art fair features about 50 fine artists from the region. Enjoy live jazz music throughout the day; children's art activities; food trucks; Lenexa Farmers Market vendors; and a tasting event featuring local wine, craft beer and spirits.

Tasting and concessions

Be sure to stop by the Tasting Event to sample great wines, beers and spirits from area farm wineries, craft breweries and distilleries. The Tasting Event takes place from 4–7 p.m. and is a great way to try and learn about products from local producers. Admission is free. Must be 21+ to participate (ID required).

Don’t miss the great food available from various food trucks:

  • Burritos Lagos - Burritos, Tacos, Nachos, Meat Nachos, Quesadillas, Meat Quesadillas, Cheeseburger w/fries, Chicken Fingers w/fries, Mexican Coke, Jarritos
  • Eat Schmidt - Million Dollar Tater Tots, Schmidt Sandwich, Panzanella Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Smoked Brisket Pita, Chicken Fingers (adult and kid size), Kid Hot Dog, Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes. All sandwiches served with kettle chips.
  • The Hungry Hatch - Grain Bowls, Wraps, Salads

Additional food vendors are available in the Lenexa Public Market on the east side of the civic campus.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have to be 21 or older to attend the Lenexa Art Fair?

No. Families are welcome at the event, and you do not have to be 21 to attend. Those who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages or participate in the tasting will need to show their ID to prove they are 21+.

Will there be a tasting activity this year?

Yes, the tasting will take place from 4–7 p.m. There is no cost to participate in the tasting.

Participants who wish to purchase beer and wine may visit the Rotary Club concession tent.

Patrons who wish to participate in the tasting or purchase alcohol must be 21+. IDs will be checked at concession/tasting vendors' booths or at the Info Booth.

Can I bring my own beer, alcohol or food?

No. Wine, beer and refreshment concessions and food are available at the event. We do not allow visitors to bring in their own alcohol or coolers.

What children’s activities will be available?

  • Children's art tent, where children can create their own work of art
  • Face painting
  • Sidewalk chalk

What other activities will be available?

Live jazz music will be performed throughout the day.

The Lenexa Farmers Market will also operate from 8 a.m. to noon.

Are dogs allowed?

We prefer that dogs be left at home. But if you choose to bring a dog, please be sure it can follow general event etiquette:

  • Walk at your side on a short leash.
  • Exhibit self-control and remain relaxed.
  • Show manners and obedience.
  • Pick up after your dog (pet-waste bags are available at the northwest corner of the parking garage).

Can I ride my bike, bring my skateboard or other motorized vehicle?

No. Bikes, skateboards and motorized vehicles are not allowed in the event. Exceptions are wheelchairs or other devices needed by people with disabilities.
