Our goal is to build a community of artists who want to create music together. Applications for volunteer musicians are accepted from March to May for each summer concert season.

2025 concert dates will be June 21, July 19 and August 2. Volunteer musicians will meet for evening rehearsals on the two Tuesday and Thursday evenings prior to each concert. (Note: No rehearsal on June 19. We are looking for an alternative. Details to be available soon.)

Application deadline: May 1, 2025 (musicians will be considered after this date only if positions are available). For orchestra details or to indicate your interest in volunteering as a musician, please visit the Lenexa Volunteer Center (check "Ongoing/recurring volunteer opportunity" and then "Community Orchestra"). Once your interest form is received, we will email you a Google form where you can indicate your availability, instrument and attach information about your experience level.
