Fire Operations

The Lenexa Fire Department Operations Division provides emergency response to all hazards and incidents in Lenexa. It encompasses all operations personnel, which are divided into three 24-hour shifts: A, B and C.

Each shift is managed by a battalion chief (shift commander). There are between 21 and 27 firefighters on duty during each 24-hour shift. The operations division includes confined space, high-angle, and cave rescue teams.
