Background

Residents, community groups, businesses and artists submitted designs to be considered for the exhibit in January 2024. The sketches then went before a jury review process and applicants whose designs were approved had six weeks to complete their poles.

The poles were then on display at Black Hoof Park May 1Sept. 30.

A judging panel, including art professionals, recognized the top designs in July and announced award winners.

Artists received another six weeks to touch up their poles after weathering the elements and to prepare them for the auction Nov. 15.
