Doodle Dood at the Farmers Market

Escape all things normal – for just a bit. Evan Brown, also known as Doodle Dood, will take you on a journey inside his “doodle-verse” as he sketches a new design on a blank canvas at the Lenexa Farmers Market June 8. See creativity unfold as he lays down easy paths and a new world unfolds before you with things beautiful and relevant.

He will be at the Market from 8 a.m. – noon, drawing a 12' x 6' mural on a canvas and incorporating design elements that he plans to include in the mural in Old Town. Visitors can watch him work and ask questions. The canvas will then travel through Lenexa and pop up at various outings and events as the community puts color to his creation.

Last fall residents voted for a mural design in Old Town Lenexa. Doodle Dood’s “Meet Me in Lenexa” won. This October, he will paint a 900-square-foot mural on the renovated Lenexa Community Center in Old Town. During the mural selection process, the City received a $9,500 grant from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.  Their generosity is greatly appreciated.
