Join us for State of the City address on Feb. 17
Attend Mayor Michael Boehm's 2016 State of the City address to take measure of how Lenexa is doing as a community. The presentation is part of a Lenexa Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from noon-1:15 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Doors open at 11:50 a.m. There is a fee for the lunch, or you can just listen to the mayor's speech for free. Event details and registration

95th Street and I-35 interchange reconstruction
KDOT will rebuild the 95th Street and I-35 interchange in Lenexa this year to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. The area will be closed to traffic from Feb. 21 to August 2016, weather permitting. Closure details and detour routes

Community Development Block Grant public meeting

Art scholarships for high school seniors
Graduating high school seniors who are Lenexa residents and plan to attend college this fall can apply for visual and performing art scholarships through the Lenexa Arts Council. They do not have to pursue an art degree. Applications are due March 1. Learn more or apply

The Lenexa Police Department is planning a Coffee with a Cop event on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant (11200 W. 87th St. Pkwy.).
