The 2013 Lenexa Chili Challenge will take place on October 18-19 in Old Town Lenexa (at the corner of Santa Fe Trail Drive and Pflumm Road). Each year, about 190 teams compete in two divisions: Chili Appreciation Society International (C.A.S.I.) and Home Style Chili. Contestants also competed in the Salsa, Pico De Gallo and Hot Wing contests.
Chili contestants arrived on Friday afternoon to begin setting up their booths. The festivities included live music and entertainment, fireworks, games and activities for all ages.
