Do you offer SilverSneakers or other health-insurance-related program?

We have reached out to SilverSneakers and requested to be an approved facility. They have explained to us that the area is oversaturated with approved facilities, and in order for us to be considered, they need to hear from the public.

They advised that any individuals from the community who would like to see Lenexa Rec Center as part of the SilverSneakers program do one of the two:

  • Visit https://onlinesubmission.healthways.com and recommend “Lenexa Rec Center” become an approved SilverSneaker facility.

  • Call 1.888.423.4632 and recommend “Lenexa Rec Center” become an approved SilverSneaker facility.

For additional questions, please e-mail TheRec@lenexa.com.

What is considered a "household?"

A household is defined as up to five individuals all residing within the same residence, one of which must be at least 18 years of age. Individuals over age 18 must prove they reside in the household.

The easiest way to do this is to provide a driver’s license with your address or some form of verified mail (not junk mail) received at your home

Can I get a pass to a specific area of the facility?

No, we do not sell passes to specific areas of the facility. Our memberships and single-day passes give you access to the entire building, given that age requirements are met.

How do I cancel my membership?

You need to complete a membership cancellation request as well as provide 30 days' notice.

Keep in mind that if you request to cancel your membership within 30 days of your next automatic payment, you will be responsible for that next payment.

You will continue to have access to your membership privileges through the 30 days.

What happens if I lose my membership card?

You can purchase a new membership card from the front desk for $5.

Why do I have to pay a membership fee when I pay taxes?

A portion of sales tax dollars went toward constructing the facility. The Lenexa Rec Center will cover operational costs through user-driven revenues. This includes memberships, programs, rentals and other services offered.

When can I use the free daily guest passes I received with my Charter Membership?

Starting July 31, 2017, Charter Members can bring friends and family to the Rec Center and use the free guest passes received when you purchased a membership.
