Under the guidance of the Lenexa Arts Council, we offer a variety of art-related programs throughout the year. These programs span different types of art, including visual, performing, music and literary arts.
Each year, the Arts Council sponsors more than $3,000 in arts scholarships for Lenexa graduating seniors who are interested in the arts. Outside judges select scholarship winners, and we award scholarships in visual arts, performing arts and literary arts.
Applications are typically available in the fall, and we honor the winners the following April.

We’ll start at the new City Hall located at City Center, 17101 W. 87th Street Parkway and then visit two other sites to view art and enjoy light refreshments. This year’s event takes place on Thursday, Sept. 14, beginning at 6 p.m.
